The service

The toolbox is provided free for personal and professional use, as is. It is a set of client-side tools with no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose — the tests help you diagnose equipment but are not a substitute for professional measurement or medical advice, and nothing on the site assesses hearing health.

Acceptable use

Use the tools freely. Don’t attempt to disrupt the service or scrape it at abusive scale. Listening safety is your responsibility: avoid prolonged exposure to loud tones, and keep levels moderate with sensitive equipment — the guides say this where it matters, and it matters.

Intellectual property

The site’s design, text and artwork are the property of its builder. Test tones are generated mathematically and belong to no one; the expression here is original.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the site — including, to be plain, any speaker that meets a square wave it deserved.
